Edgar Barraza has over 8 years of experience in energy resilience, community engagement, and energy justice. He is a founding member of Los Angeles for Resilient and Healthy Homes (LARHH), a member of the Building Energy Equity and Power Coalition (BEEP), and a point person for California Environmental Justice Alliance (CEJA) building decarbonization state policy efforts. Over the past 3 years, he has led PSR-LA statewide equitable building decarbonization work and is a specialist navigating California's building decarbonization efforts within state regulatory agencies and at the legislature.

Ruth Ann Norton, President & CEO of the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, has led the organization’s development into one of the nation’s most effective and foremost authorities on a whole house approach to healthy housing and its impact on the social determinants of health. She served as the architect of GHHI's Whole House Model that is built on a framework of cross-sector collaboration on health, safety and energy efficiency sectors and broad alignment of funding sources that improves human health and the health of homes. Ruth Ann directs GHHI’s national strategy, policy and services in over 75 partnering jurisdictions to integrate innovative funding for clean energy and healthy housing as a platform for improved health, economic, climate and social outcomes for low-income communities.

Samir Deshpande

Senior Project Consultant, Elevate Energy

Samir Deshpande is the Senior Project Consultant at Elevate, a nonprofit organization that designs and implements programs that bring clean and affordable heat, power, and water to homes and communities. In this role, he works with municipalities, community-based organizations, and building owners to support affordable housing, sustainable communities, and energy efficiency. Prior to joining Elevate, Deshpande worked as a science and health communicator at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and as the Environmental Health Manager for the city of Dearborn, Michigan.
