She has provided media training to hundreds of health professionals, executives, researchers and scientists across the nation, and previously developed and coordinated volunteer spokesperson programs at the American Lung Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Allison has more than 15 years of experience in strategic communications and public relations.

Antonio is originally from the Texas- Mexico frontera/ borderlands. He attended the University at Texas at Austin where he studied Philosophy. He has been active in the movement for environmental and economic justice since the early 1990’s. He moved to the Bay Area in 1995 and has been organizing with PODER since then. Antonio is PODER’s Organizational Director. He is currently on the steering committees of San Francisco Rising, Bay Rising, and the California Environmental Justice Alliance.

Edgar Barraza has over 8 years of experience in energy resilience, community engagement, and energy justice. He is a founding member of Los Angeles for Resilient and Healthy Homes (LARHH), a member of the Building Energy Equity and Power Coalition (BEEP), and a point person for California Environmental Justice Alliance (CEJA) building decarbonization state policy efforts. Julian is an Oakland, CA native and long time organizer. He is the co-founder and Training Director for the Million Person Project, a global project about love, storytelling and connecting change makers. Chief Federal Officer, WE ACT for Environmental Justice
Based in Washington, D.C., Leslie Fields has worked for 30 years at the intersection of federal, state, local, and international environmental justice and environmental and civil rights law and policy. Fields most recently led Regional Energy Democracy Initiative (REDI) at the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Justice and Equity. Prior to that project, Leslie spent 16 years with the Sierra Club, departing as the National Director, Policy Advocacy and Legal.

Rosa González is an educator, artist, and innovator dedicated to transformative social resiliency who has been active in helping to build the field for climate action and racial equity. She is the founder of Facilitating Power, a consultancy designed to cultivate, through deep partnership, the practice & pedagogy of a living democracy.

Prior to Sierra Club, she oversaw RMI’s building decarbonization policy campaigns in the West and Interior West. Executive Director, Citizens Utility Board of Minnesota
In 2016, Annie was named the first executive director of the Citizens Utility Board of Minnesota. She joined CUB after serving as the executive director of the Legislative Energy Commission, a nonpartisan office of the Minnesota House and Senate. Annie also co-founded the Capitol Pathways Internship Program, which places students of color and Native American students in internships around the Minnesota legislature, so that Minnesota government may better represent the state’s diversity.

In this role, Grace advocates for policies that protect and prioritize low-income tenants in the transition to climate resilient housing. Prior to joining SAJE, Grace held roles at fair housing and tenants rights' organizations where she enforced fair housing laws and conducted eviction-prevention outreach and education for tenants. Grace holds a BA in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College.

Jeremy Hays is Managing Partner at Upright Consulting Services, where he helps cities, nonprofits, and community-based organizations design equitable climate and workforce strategies rooted in high road principles. He previously served as Executive Director of Green For All and National Organizing Director for the Apollo Alliance for Good Jobs and Clean Energy, where he led national efforts to align climate policy and investment with economic inclusion. Jeremy has guided multi-million-dollar equity-focused initiatives and advised federal, state, and local agencies on workforce, equity, and sustainability.

Since joining The Alliance in 2013, Ms. Burke has participated in dozens of regulatory proceedings at the Louisiana Public Service Commission, the New Orleans City Council, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Department of Energy, and the Environmental Protection Agency. She served as the architect of GHHI's Whole House Model that is built on a framework of cross-sector collaboration on health, safety and energy efficiency sectors and broad alignment of funding sources that improves human health and the health of homes. Ruth Ann directs GHHI’s national strategy, policy and services in over 75 partnering jurisdictions to integrate innovative funding for clean energy and healthy housing as a platform for improved health, economic, climate and social outcomes for low-income communities.

Ruthy Gourevitch (she/her) is the Housing & Communities Policy Director at the Climate & Community Institute (CCI), where she works with organizers, policymakers, and researchers to advance housing and climate justice together. Ruthy has worked on housing policies that advance tenants rights at the local and federal levels as a political staffer, researcher and tenant union member.
Senior Project Consultant, Elevate Energy
Samir Deshpande is the Senior Project Consultant at Elevate, a nonprofit organization that designs and implements programs that bring clean and affordable heat, power, and water to homes and communities. In this role, he works with municipalities, community-based organizations, and building owners to support affordable housing, sustainable communities, and energy efficiency. Prior to joining Elevate, Deshpande worked as a science and health communicator at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and as the Environmental Health Manager for the city of Dearborn, Michigan.

Zach Lou previously worked at the California Workforce Development Board on the High Road Training Partnerships program, working with unions and community organizations to develop equitable pathways into jobs needed for climate action. He was also the lead author for Resilience Before Disaster, a report sponsored by APEN, SEIU, and the BlueGreen Alliance that highlighted models for community resilience and social infrastructure.

Ashita Gona is an associate on RMI’s Carbon-Free Buildings team, where she works with stakeholders in the Mid-Atlantic to transition the region’s buildings away from fossil fuels. Ashita brings a strong communications background to her work, having previously worked at Climate Nexus promoting building electrification in the news media. She has also worked as an environmental journalism fellow, as an intern at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and as a freelance writer. Ashita holds a B.A. in Media and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in Laurel, MD with her husband and her cat.

Daniel Carpenter-Gold is a Staff Attorney with the Public Health Law Center, providing legal technical assistance on climate-justice issues to advocates, community groups, and local governments. His work focuses on equitable building decarbonization: policies and practices for reducing building emissions while maximizing co-benefits and minimizing harm for the people who live and use those buildings, especially low-income tenants and tenants of color.

Emily leads NESCAUM’s Building Electrification Initiative, providing states with technical and policy support to accelerate the transition to zero-emission buildings. Emily previously worked at VEIC for 15 years, where she designed and advised on building decarbonization and energy efficiency programs in multiple states and helped launch the TECH Clean California initiative to advance statewide adoption of clean space and water heating. Emily also serves on the Building Performance Association Board of Directors and Executive Committee and on her town’s energy committee in East Montpelier, Vermont.

Jamie Rhodes is a Senior Attorney and Director of the Clean Buildings Program for Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) out of their Providence, Rhode Island office. This position includes researching and sharing best practices and emerging issue with clean building advocates across the six states in which CLF is active. Within Rhode Island, he is the lead advocate in electric regulatory cases, including intervening in regulatory proceedings and engaging with the General Assembly on related bills and proposals.
Managing Director of States & Regions, BDC
Jose directs and supports the development and implementation of policy and regulatory work for BDC’s priority states. In his previous role as BDC’s California Director, he led a team that helped secure a billion dollars of funding for building decarbonization, advanced Zero NOx rules in the Scoping Plan and State Implementation Plan, and passed the country’s first Neighborhood Scale Obligation to Serve Legislation.

Executive Director, Citizens Utility Board (CUB)
Sarah Moskowitz is Executive Director at the Citizens Utility Board (CUB), an Illinois nonprofit consumer advocacy group that represents the interests of residential and small business utility customers through outreach, education, litigation, and policy advocacy. She started at CUB in the summer of 2000 and has served there in a variety of roles including providing direct consumer services, managing the organization’s statewide education and advocacy efforts, and overseeing the development of CUB’s clean energy strategy in a way that uses policy research and community engagement to identify equitable and consumer friendly climate solutions. She became CUB’s Deputy Director in 2019 and held that role until 2023, when she stepped in as Executive Director. Sarah earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Chicago.

Yong Jung Cho is Executive Director of Building Power Resource Center. BPRC is working with 17 partners, working across 13 states and Washington, DC on models for an equitable clean energy transition (primarily in the buildings sector) that prioritize affordability, public health, creating union jobs, and reducing climate pollution.
Executive Director, HEET
Zeyneb joined HEET in 2016 to collaboratively lead the Large Volume Leak Study which rapidly changed state policy and reduced methane emissions. Zeyneb then pioneered the concept of gas utilities delivering decarbonization through networked geothermal heat pumps, launching Gas to Geo and transforming HEET into a national thought leader for the thermal energy transition.

Edgar Barraza has over 8 years of experience in energy resilience, community engagement, and energy justice. He is a founding member of Los Angeles for Resilient and Healthy Homes (LARHH), a member of the Building Energy Equity and Power Coalition (BEEP), and a point person for California Environmental Justice Alliance (CEJA) building decarbonization state policy efforts. Over the past 3 years, he has led PSR-LA statewide equitable building decarbonization work and is a specialist navigating California's building decarbonization efforts within state regulatory agencies and at the legislature.

Emily leads NESCAUM’s Building Electrification Initiative, providing states with technical and policy support to accelerate the transition to zero-emission buildings. Emily previously worked at VEIC for 15 years, where she designed and advised on building decarbonization and energy efficiency programs in multiple states and helped launch the TECH Clean California initiative to advance statewide adoption of clean space and water heating. Emily also serves on the Building Performance Association Board of Directors and Executive Committee and on her town’s energy committee in East Montpelier, Vermont.
